Fahid Ben Khalfallah says he "doesn't care" about Brisbane Roar's latest off-field drama and says it won't bother the A-League club's new French recruit Eric Bautheac either.
Bautheac is due to arrive in Brisbane in the early hours of Wednesday morning after finally receiving his visa clearance following a month-long delay.
He will walk straight into a club in crisis, with the Roar's owners having sacked managing director Mark Kingsman on Monday as part of a new "restructuring plan."
Most of the Roar's players have dealt with similar distractions before and Ben Khalfallah said it won't be a problem this time.
"Why? That's life, it happens," he told reporters on Tuesday morning.
"We're lucky to be soccer players, we're lucky to play for this club.
"It happens in every job. Your boss could get sacked tomorrow. If I'm not good, I'm not going to have a contract.
"It's not our business, I don't know what happened and I don't care, I don't want to know.
"The only thing I want to focus on is training on the pitch here. We just have to concentrate on the football."
Ben Khalfallah, who helped arrange Bautheac's transfer, said he had been in touch with the 30-year-old winger about the latest developments.
He said it did not dull the former Lille, Dijon and Cannes star's enthusiasm about moving to Australia, repeating his call that Bautheac will become one of the A-League's best players.
"I've been in touch with him. He's so excited, to be honest he can't wait," Ben Khalfallah said.
"He's been waiting over a month so I think he wants to play football and I can't wait to see him.
"I don't think people realise ... he's not coming from a bad league. He's been playing at the highest level."
Whether Bautheac is cleared to play in Sunday's home clash against the Newcastle Jets remains to be seen.
Brisbane have lost their first two games of the new season and conceded two late goals to fall 2-1 to Adelaide United at Suncorp Stadium on Friday night.
