Watford are lining up a move for Bournemouth striker Benik Afobe, sources close to the player have told ESPN FC.
Watford boss Marco Silva is in the market for striking reinforcements during this month's transfer window and Afobe has emerged on his radar.
Watford could end up losing Troy Deeney this month with Newcastle keen on his signature and Silva does not want to leave himself light in attacking options.
Watford's top scorer this season is midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure with six goals and Silva wants to add more goals to his ranks.
Afobe has struggled to make an impact at Bournemouth since joining from Wolves for £10 million in January of 2016.
It remains to be seen if Bournemouth will be willing to sell Afobe with Jermain Defoe and Josh King both currently sidelined with injuries.
