Real Salt Lake legend Javier Morales announced his retirement on Thursday.
Morales, 38, played 10 years with RSL from 2007-16 before moving on last season to FC Dallas, who didn't pick up his option during the offseason.
And after not catching on with any other club this year, the Argentine playmaker decided to hang up his boots.
"I dreamed, loved, and enjoyed with the depths of my being, but it's time to let go," Morales wrote on Twitter. "This year would have been my 20th year playing as a professional soccer player. It's been a very long journey. I have fulfilled many dreams and some I haven't, but without a doubt it has been the dream of my life."

Morales is one of just 19 players in MLS history to score 50 goals and 50 assists, and was named to the league's Best XI in 2010.
He is Real Salt Lake's all-time assists leader with 81 and helped the club win the 2009 MLS Cup.
"Thanks Real Salt Lake, city of Utah and the RSL nation because you made me feel at home, where I spent the best years of my career," he wrote. "I'll never forget your love and support.
"Also, thanks to Major League Soccer, in this league I found everything what I wanted to be happy on the field. I truly enjoyed the last 11 years of soccer playing in MLS."
