Rayon Sports president Paul Muvunyi is confident that his side can eliminate Enyimba in their CAF Confederation Cup quarter final, and is confident the Rwandan side can rack up a big goal haul against the Nigerians.
Rayon became Rwanda's first club to reach the knockout stages of a CAF competition when they defeated Young Africans of Tanzania to finish second in their group behind USM Alger.
They've progressed to a double-header against Enyimba, with the two sides set to meet on Sunday at the Stade de Kigali before a return leg in Nigeria a week later.
"We have what it takes to get to the final," Muvunyi told KweséESPN. "Our boys have realised that they are good enough to compete with Africa's best.
"We can eliminate Nigeria's Enyimba," he added. "Our players are young and well-motivated to do the job.
We are determined to beat Enyimba here in Kigali by three goals and go to Nigeria for the return leg with a good strategy that will frustrate them," the president added.
"We have had a very busy season with so many games, but the boys know what they'll get in return depending on where they reach."
Key to Rayon's success, according to Muvunyi, is their fearlessness, with Brazilian coach Roberto Oliveira Goncalves do Carmo having infused his young side with the confidence to approach their continental assignments.
"There is a no fear factor in our team, and we believe we can beat any team," he continued. "Look at our performances from as far back as the CAF Champions League, where we have been performing well despite losing some matches."
However, Rayon will be without influential international midfielder Yannick Mukunzi, who's serving a suspension for misconduct following his role in a post-match brawl following the draw against USM Alger in July.
Mukunzi was fined $10,000 and handed a three-match ban, while teammates Kassim Ndayisenga and Christ Mbondi served two-match bans and paid fines of $5,000 each.
