New Kaizer Chiefs signing Reeve Frosler says he is looking forward to playing for a club big as Amakhosi, and is keen to add trophies to the club's cabinet in the wake of his Bidvest Wits exit.

Frosler signed with Chiefs this week after turning down a new deal at Wits at the start of the Absa Premiership season, and will be hopeful that a new team will allow him to make his case for a Bafana Bafana call up heading to the Africa Cup of Nations.

The 21-year-old defender, who has played for South Africa at youth level, told the Chiefs website: "I am ready to give it my all. It's my ambition to win trophies with Kaizer Chiefs.

"I will do my best in every game selected for. I never want to let them down."

Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp was pleased with the signing, saying it would add to his stocks at the back of the pitch: "Reeve is a wing-back who can play on either the right or the left. He is one for the future and an investment for the club.

"Ramahlwe Mphahlele and Kgotso Moleko have done well at right-back and can also give us flexibility at the centre-back position."

Frosler's first challenge may be to face the club's fiercest rivals, Orlando Pirates, in the Soweto Derby next Saturday afternoon.
