TOP STORY: Man City willing to offer £60m to sign Phillips from Leeds
Manchester City are prepared to part with £60 million to land Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips, according to The Sun.
Phillips, 26, has spent 12 years at the Yorkshire club and has made 234 appearances, but City boss Pep Guardiola sees him as the perfect replacement for the departing Fernandinho.
The England midfielder, who has become a key player for Gareth Southgate in the last two years, is reportedly ready to leave Elland Road despite the fact that Leeds are ready to offer him a new contract.
Guardiola likes Phillips for his dynamic ability to play the No. 6 and No. 8 roles, and because he counts as a homegrown player for City's Champions League squad registration.

22.00 BST: Lazio are willing to let Sergej Milinkovic-Savic leave this summer as they aim to rebuild, but haven't yet received any serious offers, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, which adds that the Serie A side want a transfer fee of at least €65m plus add-ons. Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus have all been linked but nothing has come to fruition so far, while Arsenal and Newcastle United can't offer the Serbia international the Champions League football he desires.
21.27 BST: Manchester United and Crystal Palace are leading the race to sign Derby County teenager Malcolm Ebiowei, according to Fabrizio Romano. AS Monaco have also asked about the striker, but Ebiowei would rather stay in England and make a Premier League move.
20.54 BST: Brighton & Hove Albion are targeting FC Porto left-back Zaidu but face competition from Crystal Palace, according to the Star. The report adds that the Seagulls completing a move for the Nigeria international could be a bonus for Manchester City, who are hoping to sign Marc Cucurella.
20.21 BST: Sky Sport Italia reports that representatives of Paulo Dybala and Internazionale were scheduled to meet on Monday or Tuesday ahead of a possible move. The Argentina international has left Juventus and was initially offered a four-year contract worth €5.5m a season by Inter, but he wants a net sum of €8m a year plus €2m in potential add-ons. Inter are waiting to see whether they will need to increase the fixed sum as both sides aim to bridge the gap, while they could also offer an extra year.
19.48 BST: Bayern Munich have signed 20-year-old Netherlands midfielder Ryan Gravenberch from Ajax on a five-year deal, the German champions said on Monday. Ajax academy graduate Gravenberch made his senior debut in 2018-19 and finished with 103 appearances in all competitions, scoring 12 goals. Read the full story.

19.15 BST: Aberdeen want a transfer fee of £5m with another £5m in add-ons to sanction the departure of 18-year-old right-back Calvin Ramsay amid interest from Liverpool, reports Sky Sports. This comes after the Reds made an initial offer of £4m with £2m in add-ons as they see him as long-term competition for Trent Alexander-Arnold. Anfield is Ramsay's preferred destination despite interest from across England, Italy and Germany.
18.42 BST: With Luis Muriel potentially joining Juventus and Duvan Zapata having struggled with injury issues, Atalanta are looking at AS Roma forward Stephan El Shaarawy and Beto of Udinese as they aim to strengthen their frontline, reports Calciomercato. El Shaarawy is looking for more game time while Beto could be signed for a transfer fee of €25m if Muriel moves on. Luis Suarez had also been considered but his wage demands of €7m a season were deemed to be too high.
18.09 BST: Arsenal have signed Marquinhos from Sao Paulo on a long-term contract. Marquinhos, 19, a Brazil youth international, made 33 appearances for Sao Paulo and won the Compeonato Paulista in 2021. Read the full story.

17.36 BST: Strasbourg, Villarreal, Eintracht Frankfurt, Mainz and Leeds United are all looking at Paris Saint-Germain right-back Colin Dagba, according to Foot Mercato. The 23-year-old wants to get more playing time, having managed just 380 minutes across all competitions last term, and the Ligue 1 champions are reportedly willing to let him leave.
17.03 BST: Nemanja Matic has arrived in Rome ahead of a move to become part of Jose Mourinho's AS Roma squad, reports Sky Sport Italia. The Serbia midfielder has left Manchester United and must complete a medical before signing a one-year contract worth €3.5m that will also include the option for a second season.
16.30 BST: Manchester City have landed one of the best young strikers around, but Erling Haaland could get even better.
15.27 BST: Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno could leave the club this summer, with Fulham keen.
Leno's agent Joannis Koukoutrigas told Bild that the Germany international should be playing ahead of Gunners No. 1 Aaron Ramsdale and that plenty of clubs were interested in signing him.
"He is a German national goalkeeper, has always performed well at Arsenal and is an absolute team player," he said. "For me personally, Bernd is also the clear No.1 at Arsenal. With all due respect to the competitors.
"Yes, Fulham is trying hard to get Bernd. Very professionally. This is also true for some other clubs and shows his status. But, as I said, for me he is the No.1 at Arsenal and we are therefore also relaxed."
14.59 BST: Manchester United are keen to sign Real Madrid forward Marco Asensio, says Corriere dello Sport.
Asensio, 25, scored 12 goals in 42 appearances last season but wants to play more regularly and has yet to agree a new contract, with his terms expiring in 2023.
Cadena SER says that Asensio's agent, Jorge Mendes, is looking for a new club for his client, with a fee of around €30m being talked about.
14.27 BST: Huddersfield Town are closing on a loan move for Manchester City midfielder James McAtee, according to The Sun.
McAtee, 19, is highly rated at City but only played in two Premier League games last term and will be sent out on loan to gain more first-team experience.
Championship side Huddersfield look set to seal a deal for the England U20 international, who is under contract at the Etihad Stadium until 2026.
13.55 BST: LaLiga president Javier Tebas has given Barcelona hope they will be able to sign players this summer if members authorise the sale of a stake in future merchandising and television rights this week.
Barca have proposed selling 49.9% of the club's subsidiary company Barça Licensing & Merchandising and a 25% stake in their earnings from LaLiga television rights. Members will vote on Thursday, with the club hoping they will be given permission to close the deals.
The two operations could bring in over €500m, which would allow the club more freedom in the transfer market this summer as they look to strengthen the squad for coach Xavi Hernandez.
"Laporta is angry [about the LaLiga spending limits], but Barca know what they have to do," Tebas told the Valladolid sports press association on Monday. "They know what they need to do to sign players. I hope things go well for them because we don't like their situation. Financially they can't do certain things, but if they do these [operations], they can bring players in."
If the deals were done in parallel to LaLiga's CVC deal, Barca could have brought in more than €700m and would have had the funds to invest in their squad immediately.
However, Barca have stressed they will not join the agreement, which includes every other LaLiga club excluding Real Madrid and Athletic Bilbao, and Tebas says "it's not essential that they join up."
He added: "They have to sell assets, that's how it is, but joining the CVC agreement is not the only formula they have. It's voluntary."
Barca have already agreed deals to sign Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen and AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie on free transfers this summer but would not be able to register them if the season started tomorrow because their LaLiga-imposed spending cap stands at -€144m -- the only negative limit in the league.
They have also confirmed they are pursuing 33-year-old Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski, who has made it clear he wants to leave, with the German club asking for around €40m.
13.30 BST: What will the legendary Giorgio Chiellini bring to MLS?
13.10 BST: Longtime Juventus and Italy national team defender Giorgio Chiellini has signed with LAFC, the team said on Monday.
Chiellini, 37, signed a contract through the 2023 season and is expected to be available for selection for LAFC when the summer transfer window opens in July. He was signed using targeted allocation money (TAM) and will not occupy the team's vacant designated player slot.
"I felt very strongly about this new chapter in my career and I am grateful to LAFC for this opportunity," Chiellini said in a statement from the club. "I'm thankful for all my years with Juventus and I'm looking forward to winning many more trophies in Los Angeles."
13.01 BST: Arsenal have made a €60m offer to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, which has been rejected, according to Il Mattino.
Osimhen, 23, scored 18 goals in 32 games last season, with Napoli valuing his services at around €100m given his contract doesn't expire until 2025.
The Nigeria international is reportedly keen to move to the Premier League, but the Gunners will have to raise their offer to make it happen.
12.48 BST: Marcelo has bid farewell to Real Madrid after 16 years at the club.
The Brazil left-back, 34, has won a club-record 25 titles with the Spanish giants and departs on a free transfer after his contract expired.
"When I left Brazil, I only wanted to play the Champions League," he said in a farewell ceremony on Monday. "Today I depart being the player with the most titles in the history of the biggest club in the world."
Club president Florentino Perez said: "This is a moment to be happy, because you've managed to reach the hearts of millions and millions of Madridistas over these years. As president, I want to thank you on behalf of everyone at the club and all the members for these marvellous years. This will always be your home."
12.33 BST: Chelsea have exercised an option to extend midfielder Billy Gilmour's contract until 2024.
Gilmour, 22, joined Chelsea in the summer of 2017 from Rangers and broke into the first team during the 2019-20 campaign.
He spent last season on loan at Norwich, and made his senior Scotland debut last June.
12.20 BST: Barcelona have drawn up an improved contract offer for Gavi which they hope will finally end the speculation surrounding the midfielder's Camp Nou future, sources have confirmed to ESPN.
Gavi's current terms expire in 2023 and following lengthy negotiations, which have been tense at times, Barca have increased their original proposal to a level they believe is now acceptable for the player's agent, former midfielder Ivan de la Pena.
The long-term deal will see Gavi, 17, earn progressively more each season, while his release clause will rise to €1 billion.
With the youngster's involvement in the UEFA Nations League with Spain now over following Sunday's 2-0 win over Czech Republic, all parties involved in the talks hope a resolution can be found as soon as possible to be able to relax during some much needed time off.
In his first season with Barca's first team, Gavi made 47 appearances across all competitions. He also featured once for the B team and has won 10 caps for Spain since making his debut last September.
Several clubs were monitoring his contract situation at Barca, including Liverpool reportedly, but none believe he would seriously leave the club he joined as a 10-year-old from Real Betis in 2015.
However, Barca's financial situation led De la Pena to weigh up other offers -- something president Joan Laporta bemoaned -- before the Blaugrana finally realised they had to make a bigger effort to keep the teenager at the club.
11.45 BST: Liverpool are set to sign Darwin Nunez for €75m from Benfica, but what will he bring?
10.50 BST: Tor-Kristian Karlsen assesses what France midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni offers Real Madrid after his €80m transfer from Monaco.
Despite being only 22, Tchouameni has already encountered plenty of tactical shuffling in his young career; the only constant is that he plays through the spine of the team -- though if given the remit, he would probably excel at centre-back too.
His ability to cover space and regain possession, plus a developing ability to quickly read the game in front of him, has seen him thrive as a defensive midfielder and occasionally feature in a box-to-box role -- an idea that's been growing on both France manager Didier Deschamps and Monaco's current coach Philippe Clement.
10.15 BST: Sevilla are willing to let Chelsea target Jules Kounde depart this summer if a minimum offer of €65m arrives, according to Marca.
Sevilla turned down a €65m offer from Chelsea last summer for Kounde and are reportedly requesting the same transfer fee now.
Kounde, 23, is under contract with Sevilla until June 2024 and has been a regular starter since joining the Andalusian club from Bordeaux in the summer of 2019 for €25m.
The LaLiga club have already moved on centre-back Diego Carlos to Aston Villa for €30m this summer.
10.00 BST: Erling Haaland has completed his €60m move to Premier League champions Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund, the club announced.
The 21-year-old has put pen to paper on a five-year deal at the Etihad Stadium.
Haaland said: "This is a proud day for me and my family. I have always watched City and have loved doing so in recent seasons. You can't help but admire their style of play, it's exciting and they create a lot of chances, which is perfect for a player like me.
"There are so many world-class players in this squad and Pep is one of the greatest managers of all-time, so I believe I am in the right place to fulfil my ambitions.
"I want to score goals, win trophies, and improve as a footballer and I am confident I can do that here. This is a great move for me, and I can't wait to get started in preseason."
09.49 BST: River Plate coach Marcelo Gallardo has asked his club fans to be patient regarding the potential signing of Luis Suarez.
Gallardo has spoken to the Uruguay forward, who is a free agent after his contract with Atletico Madrid ended this month. The former Barcelona star is keen to remain in Europe but has not ruled out a move to River.
"I've spoken to him," Gallardo told TyC. "I know him, I have a good rapport with him. I have a lot of respect for him. I asked him what he was going to do next and if he would like to come to play in Argentina, in a club like ours, to be competitive heading into the World Cup.
"It's difficult to know what the chances are as it doesn't depend on us. What we must do is to wait and see what real options we have once the player evaluates the situation. We are interested and the player is evaluating his next move. I know the attention this story generates but we must be patient."
Suarez, 35, scored 11 league goals for Atletico this past campaign and helped Uruguay qualify for the World Cup.
09.23 BST: Valencia midfielder Carlos Soler says he has not been given an ultimatum to decide on his future.
Soler, who scored in Spain's 2-0 win over the Czech Republic in Sunday's UEFA Nations League match, is widely expected to leave Valencia this summer.
A target of Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, Soler becomes a free agent next summer and has not signed a contract extension with Los Che.
"When the time comes to talk, I will do so," Soler said. "Right now, I only want to go on holiday and disconnect after the season. I'm not aware that they (Valencia) will put a deadline for me to decide. I don't like to rush."
Soler, 25, scored 12 goals in 38 appearances across all competitions this past season.
08.41 BST: Barcelona president Joan Laporta is hopeful of extending the contract of young midfielder Gavi, whose deal due to expire in next summer.
"We are optimistic," Laporta said. "We obviously want Gavi to continue at Barca."
Gavi, 17, made 34 league appearances for Barca this past season and became Spain's youngest goalscorer after netting against the Czech Republic in a 2-2 draw in the Nations League last weekend.
"We are close to reaching an agreement," Laporta said. "It's more special for us because he [Gavi] comes from our youth ranks. We want Gavi to stay. The player and his agent want it too."
Meanwhile, winger Ousmane Dembele, who is a target of Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea, has not responded to a contract offer from Barca with his contract expiring this month.
"Ousmane had a renewal offer from us and we have no news that he has accepted it," Laporta said.
08.00 BST: Some big news to kick off the week -- Benfica have announced that an agreement has been reached with Liverpool for forward Darwin Nunez for an initial fee of €75m.
ESPN's Adriana Garcia reported on Sunday that Liverpool had agreed to break their transfer record to land the 22-year-old striker in a deal that could be worth up to €100m, if €25m in add-ons are met.
A Benfica statement said: "The agreement provides for the payment of a variable remuneration, so the global amount of the sale could reach the amount of €100m.
"The aforementioned agreement is dependent on the signing of the player's sports employment contract with Liverpool FC."
Liverpool have seen off competition from Manchester United and Arsenal to sign Nunez, who moves to Anfield on a five-year contract.
The transfer could have an impact on the future of Sadio Mane, who has attracted interest from Bayern Munich, with Liverpool turning down two offers from the Bundesliga champions for the forward.

- Chelsea are close to bringing talented U.S. U20 goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina to London from the Chicago Fire, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Blues were close to capturing the Real Madrid target in January but were unable to get a deal over the line. Now, however, after re-entering the race to sign him, Chelsea have overtaken the Spanish and European champions as favourites to land the 18-year-old. Madrid saw an offer for Slonina rejected last week, and it is believed that Chelsea are able to offer more for the highly rated youngster.
- Manchester United and Liverpool lead a number of clubs -- including Barcelona, Real Madrid, Leicester City and Everton -- in the chase for Udinese's 16-year-old rising star forward Simone Pafundi, according to The Sun. Pafundi made his Udinese first-team debut last month, becoming the first player born in 2006 to do so, and was called up by Italy boss Roberto Mancini to attend a training camp. However, his age gives the Spanish sides an advantage: English clubs are unable to sign youngsters from Europe until they're 18 because of Brexit.
- Marseille have enquired about the possibility of taking Arsenal left-back Nuno Tavares on loan, according to The Sun. Tavares joined the north London club for €9m from Benfica last summer but has been inconsistent, and now the French side believe they have a chance to land the 22-year-old for the entirety of the 2022-23 season. Arsenal, meanwhile, have contacted Bologna over the €25m signing of highly rated Scotland international Aaron Hickey.
- Juventus are rebuilding for the 2022-23 season and they're targeting Argentina international Angel Di Maria and Shakhtar Donetsk star David Neres, according to Calciomercato and A Bola. Juve have lost Paulo Dybala and Federico Bernardeschi, and Di Maria is considered a principal target. The 34-year-old could be unveiled this week after leaving PSG on a free transfer this summer, though Barcelona are also in the hunt. Neres, 25, is another target, but the current war in Ukraine makes signing the Shakhtar Donetsk star slightly trickier. The winger joined the Ukrainian side in January for €15m from Ajax.
- LAFC are about to reveal the arrival of 37-year-old defender Giorgio Chiellini, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Juventus legend is believed to have completed a move to the MLS side, and an official announcement is looming on Monday. Chiellini terminated his Juve contract and has opted to play in America rather than retire, and he joins a side currently top of the Western Conference after 14 games.
