In the Mumbai leg of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 7, home team U Mumba fared much better than the Telugu Titans did at home. U Mumba won two games and lost two, whereas the Titans lost all four games.

#10 Naveen
Raider, Haryana Steelers
Haryana had a poor leg in Mumbai, getting outclassed in both games to lose 41-21 and 37-21 to Dabang Delhi and Jaipur Pink Panthers, respectively. Naveen continues to impress though, doing the bulk of Haryana's scoring. He came up with a nine-point effort against Delhi but only managed to score three points against Jaipur.
#9 Jaideep
Defender, Patna Pirates
That the three-time champions are currently sixth on the points table and not much further below is down to Jaideep's performance in their 24-23 win over the Tamil Thalaivas in their only match of the leg. In a low-scoring game in which Pardeep Narwal managed just one point off 13 raids, Jaideep scored seven points off seven tackles to outshine the Thalaivas' Manjeet Chhillar in defence.
#8 Pawan Kumar Sehrawat
Raider, Bengaluru Bulls
Pawan, the Season 6 MVP, has scored 28 points from three matches so far. Although that seems relatively low, given he is being held to the standards of his performance last year, Pawan is still Bengaluru's best player by some distance. He turned in an 11-point effort off 21 raids to give his team a 30-26 win over U Mumba in their sole match of this leg.
#7 Chandran Ranjit
Raider, Dabang Delhi
After playing for the Titans in the first couple of seasons, Ranjit began to make an impact with Gujarat Fortunegiants in Season 5. He delivered 158 points in 24 matches to help Delhi make the playoffs for the first time last year, and he has done well in the role of support raider to youngster Naveen Kumar this season. He even scored a point more than Naveen's 10 in the 41-21 rout of Haryana, and contributed a couple of tackle points in the 31-26 loss to Gujarat.
#6 Surinder Singh
Defender, U Mumba
Picked under the New Young Players section of the Future Kabaddi Heroes programme in Season 5, Surinder has justified the faith U Mumba have placed in him. He seems to be continuing the form he displayed in the last two editions, playing a role in both of U Mumba's home wins, including scoring nine points in their 32-20 victory over Gujarat. Surinder leads the table in the categories of successful tackles and tackle points.
#5 Abhishek Singh
Raider, U Mumba
Although Abhishek Singh's second place in the tally of total points and raid points is partly due to having played at least two matches more than most players, he, along with defender Surinder, has been contributing consistently to U Mumba's performances. Moreover, he seems particularly adept at do-or-die raids, making him even more of an asset. It's still early in the season but Abhishek seems to be building on his encouraging debut last year.
#4 Maninder Singh
Raider, Bengal Warriors
Bengal may have squandered a lead to lose 27-25 to Jaipur, but they did well to bounce back from that defeat by dominating Puneri Paltan 43-23. The mainstay of Bengal's attack since Season 5, Maninder managed 14 points from 16 raids in that game. More encouragingly, he has done well so far as captain, despite having to fill the big shoes of Surjeet Singh.
#3 Sandeep Dhull
Defender, Jaipur Pink Panthers
Sandeep, Jaipur's most successful defender last year, has picked up from where he left off. He and raider Deepak Niwas Hooda have been the key performers for the first winners of the PKL. In the victory over Bengal, Sandeep's tackles were crucial as Jaipur fought back from 19-24 down to win 27-25. In the dominant win over Haryana, he controlled Jaipur's defence while Deepak set the tone with his raiding.
#2 Naveen Kumar
Raider, Dabang Delhi
The first player born in the 21st century to play in the PKL continues to lead the league in total points, raid points and successful raids. He also has the most super 10s -- three from four matches. One of those came in a losing cause, Delhi's first loss of the season. At this rate, Naveen could well surpass the 177 points he scored in his debut season last year.
#1 Deepak Niwas Hooda
All-rounder, Jaipur Pink Panthers
Jaipur are now the only unbeaten team in the league. Although that could partly be because they have played just three matches so far, a good portion of the credit must also go to their captain and star all-rounder. After a Super 10 in their opener against U Mumba, Deepak had a relatively poor outing in his team's comeback win over Bengal. He then delivered a match-winning 14 points against Haryana to ensure his team won both their matches in Mumbai.
