PKL 7 Power Rankings - Rohit Kumar breaks into top 10, Siddharth Desai drops out

The New Delhi leg of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 7 saw the trend of teams struggling at home finally being snapped, with Dabang Delhi KC finishing with four wins from four matches on Friday. They significantly improved on U Mumba's two wins and two losses at home.

Here are our power rankings from the sixth leg of the season:

Kabaddi home | PKL 7: Full coverage | Fantasy tips | Live scores

#10 Ajay Thakur

Raider, Tamil Thalaivas

The Thalaivas lost their only match in New Delhi, 35-26 to Bengal Warriors, extending their winless streak to five matches - four losses and a tie. Still, Ajay Thakur's Super 10 in the match was an encouraging sign for his scoring, which has otherwise been relatively low by his standards so far this season.

#9 Pardeep Narwal

Raider, Patna Pirates

The contradiction between Pardeep Narwal's brilliant individual form and his team's poor showing remains as strong as ever, serving to highlight the team's over-dependence on him. In Patna's sole match in New Delhi, Pardeep scored 18 points - the highest in the match - but it still wasn't enough as his team lost to Dabang Delhi by three points.

#8 Rohit Kumar

Raider, Bengaluru Bulls

Pawan Kumar Sehrawat's stellar form since the start of Season 6 has taken almost all the raiding pressure off Rohit Kumar's shoulders. Although that has allowed Rohit the luxury of focusing more on his captaincy and not worry about his form as a raider, the flip side is that the reigning champions are a team that tend to live and die with Pawan's form.

Rohit showed some of his raiding skills and relieved some of the pressure on Pawan by scoring 13 points to lead Bengaluru to a win over Jaipur Pink Panthers.

#7 Manjeet

Raider, Puneri Paltan

Raider Manjeet impressed for the Puneri Paltan, who won one match and lost another, this past week. Although his team lost to UP Yodha, Manjeet used his height and reach to good effect to score 16 points. He then top-scored with nine points in his team's win over Telugu Titans.

#6 Maninder Singh

Raider, Bengal Warriors

Maninder Singh has been stellar this season, both as captain and raider. He top scored with 15 points in the match against Haryana Steelers, but still ended up on the losing side as the Warriors were let down by their defence. He scored nine points in his team's win over the Tamil Thalaivas. Maninder has been supported well by the likes of Mohammed Esmaeil Nabibakhsh and K Prapanjan. It's no wonder then that the team are currently second on the table.

#5 Vishal Bhardwaj

Defender, Telugu Titans

The Titans attack has been somewhat inconsistent this season, dependent as it is on Siddharth Desai, who is the team's top raider but hasn't managed to replicate the form that won him the best debutant award last season. Their defence, however, has been solid, thanks to the likes of captain Abozar Mighani and Vishal Bhardwaj.

The latter played well in both of the Titans matches in New Delhi. Bhardwaj scored eight points from seven tackles in the win over Jaipur. Although the Titans lost to Puneri Paltan, Bhardwaj again impressed with a Super 5. Bhardwaj now leads the list of tackle points scored..

#4 Pawan Kumar Sehrawat

Raider, Bengaluru Bulls

The Season 6 MVP continues to come up with massive individual performances at regular intervals, helping him stay on top of the total points chart. Although Pawan scored 17 points against Dabang Delhi, a better all-round performance from Delhi helped them edge a two-point win. In what is now a rare occurrence, Pawan wasn't the top scorer for his team against Jaipur Pink Panthers, but captain Rohit Kumar's scored a Super 10 to add to Pawan's eight points and ensured the defending champions managed a win in New Delhi.

#3 Vikash Kandola

Raider, Haryana Steelers

The Steelers' two wins from two matches in New Delhi was largely down to raider Vikash Kandola, who scored a Super 10 in the win over Bengal Warriors and eight points in victory against Gujarat Fortunegiants, ably supported by Prashanth Kumar Rai. Haryana's leading points scorer of last season is currently sixth on the list of total points as well as raid points, and a big reason why he isn't higher is because he's played only eight matches so far, three less than everyone else above him.

#2 Ravinder Pahal

Defender, Dabang Delhi KC

Defender Ravinder Pahal also deserves some of the credit for Delhi's showing at home. The right corner was his team's best defender in all four matches at home, scoring a Super 5 twice. Pahal is fourth on the list of tackle points and successful tackles.

#1 Naveen Kumar

Raider, Dabang Delhi KC

Going by current form, Dabang Delhi's best raider of last season is well on his way to shattering his points tally of last season. Naveen's consistent high-scoring performances are key to why Delhi are top of the table, with just one loss and one tie from their 11 matches. Their perfect run at home came on the back of Naveen scoring a Super 10 in all four matches. Naveen currently leads the raid points tally, albeit by just two points, and is closing in on top spot in the total points tally, which Pawan Kumar Sehrawat leads thanks in large part to his 29-point effort in one game during the Patna leg.
