There were plenty of action-packed moments in the opening week of Hyderabad leg of PKL9. Fazel Atrachali became the Pro Kabaddi League's most successful captain, Mohammadreza Shadloui Chiyaneh scored 16 tackle points in a single game and Pardeep Narwal went past the 1500 raid points mark.
Here are the highlights of week seven of PKL 9, in numbers:
4
Puneri Paltan have won four games in a row to effectively seal their spot in the playoffs. Coach BC Ramesh's team has 64 points from 17 games - a six-point lead over second-placed Bengaluru Bulls. Elsewhere, Gujarat Giants' playoff chances have taken a solid beating as they've lost four on the trot and are languishing on the 11th spot.
10
The race for the playoffs has only 10 points separating the teams ranked between #3 [Jaipur Pink Panthers, 54 points] and #10 [Haryana Steelers, 44 points]. Each of these teams have six games left, and it goes without saying, they're all do-or-die games.

The stars aligned for Telugu Titans at last as they snapped their 12-game losing streak with a resounding victory over U Mumba. Ending their winless run was a relief, but what made it all the more special for the Titans was that they could do it in front of their home crowd in Hyderabad.
The Titans have no chance of making it to the playoffs, but their resurgence now can make the race for the playoffs interesting!

SIXTEEN tackle points, one Mohammadreza Shadloui. The Iranian did what no defender has ever done as he grabbed eight Super Tackles [also a PKL record] to finish the game against Dabang Delhi with a staggering 16 tackle points. He also picked up three raid points and finished the game with 19 points. But even that wasn't enough as Patna Pirates lost 27-30. Yeah, that.
Ladies & gentlemen, you're now looking at the player with the most tackle points in a single game in #vivoProKabaddi history 🫡#MohammadrezaChiyaneh #FantasicPanga #DELvPAT pic.twitter.com/Rdl8J2P3na

First it was Siddharth Desai, now it's Vishal Bhardwaj. Two Telugu Titans players have enjoyed a return to form and Vishal has now become the player with the most Super Tackles in PKL history.
53
Another record addition to Fazel Atrachali's legacy. The Iranian left corner became PKL's most successful captain with 53 wins, going past former Puneri Paltan captain Anup Kumar's tally of 52. Fazel remains PKL's best defender and the most successful overseas player.
600
Siddharth Desai became the second fastest to cross 600 raid points. He's scored 142 raid points in 17 matches, which is 47% of the total raid points Telugu Titans have scored this season.
1500
It's almost like Pardeep Narwal breaks a record every week. This week he became the first raider to cross 1500 raid points in the League's history. He's currently on 1504 and with at least six games to go, he's got a solid shot at crossing 1600 raid points, which was the target he had set for PKL 9.
