At UFC 226, Daniel Cormier delivered a KO punch to Stipe Miocic to win the UFC heavyweight championship. In the process, Cormier became only the second fighter in UFC history to hold titles in multiple divisions simultaneously.
Just over a year later, Cormier (22-1, 1 NC) is set to make his second defense of that heavyweight belt against Miocic (18-3), who hasn't fought since losing to Cormier.
The UFC 241 main card also features the return of Nate Diaz, in his first fight in three years. Diaz (19-11) takes on Anthony Pettis (22-8) at welterweight in the co-main event.
Yoel Romero (13-3), the UFC's No. 2-ranked middleweight, also returns to action against the undefeated (and No. 7-ranked middleweight) Paulo Costa (12-0).
The pay-per-view portion of UFC 241 is rounded out by a matchup between top 10 UFC middleweights Derek Brunson and Ian Heinisch, and a featherweight fight between Gabriel Benitez and Sodiq Yusuff.
