Mickey Gall-Mike Perry eyed for late-June UFC card, sources say

The UFC is working to finalize a welterweight bout between Mickey Gall and Mike Perry for later this month, according to multiple sources.

Contracts have not yet been signed, but the UFC is in the process of adding the 170-pound bout to a UFC Fight Night event on June 27. The promotion has not announced a location for the event, although it is expected to happen in Las Vegas.

Gall (6-2) has not fought since August. The 28-year-old is coming off a decision win against Salim Touahri.

Gall broke onto the scene in 2016, as an opponent for former professional wrestler C.M. Punk, whose birth name is Phil Brooks. Gall dominated Brooks via first-round submission and has a 5-2 overall record in the UFC.

Following his last win against Touahri, Gall specifically asked for a bout against Perry.

Perry (13-6) has lost three of his past four bouts, but all have come against high-level competition in Donald Cerrone, Vicente Luque and Geoff Neal. His lone win in that stretch came against Brazilian veteran Alex Oliveira. Perry has won four performance bonuses in his 12 UFC appearances.
