NBA playoffs 2021: Devin Booker's scorching 40-point performance had social media on fire

In his first Western Conference finals, Devin Booker showed up in a big way as the Phoenix Suns defeated the LA Clippers 120-114. With Chris Paul and Kawhi Leonard unavailable for their respective squads, there were questions about what this matchup would look like, and Booker certainly provided answers. Along with getting his first career triple-double, he compiled a laundry list of impressive stats.

He joined an elite group that includes Luka Doncic, LeBron James, Bob McAdoo, Rick Barry and Wilt Chamberlain as the sixth player in NBA history to record multiple 40-point games in his first career postseason. Booker had an electrifying second half as he scored or assisted on 49 of the Suns' 63 points.

His scorching Sunday afternoon performance even had the NFL world chatting.

As the fifth player in Suns history with a playoff triple-double, Booker etched his name in the history books next to Suns legends Steve Nash, Jason Kidd, Penny Hardaway and Charles Barkley.
