Philadelphia Eagles rule out running back Miles Sanders vs. Dallas Cowboys

PHILADELPHIA -- Eagles running back Miles Sanders has been ruled out of Sunday night's game against the Dallas Cowboys with a knee injury.

Sanders will miss his second straight game after hurting the knee on a long run in Week 6 against the Baltimore Ravens. Boston Scott will be the primary ball carrier in his absence.

Receiver Alshon Jeffery (calf), cornerbacks Cre'Von LeBlanc (quadriceps) and Craig James (hamstring) and tackle Jack Driscoll (ankle) have also been ruled out.

The Eagles are getting healthier along the offensive front, meanwhile. Right tackle Lane Johnson (knee, ankle) was a full participant Friday and had no injury designation on the final injury report, putting him on track to play against Dallas. Left tackle Jason Peters (toe) is expected to be activated off injured reserve and replace Jordan Mailata in the lineup.

Defensive tackle Malik Jackson (quad) also finished the week with no injury designation.

Starting linebacker Nate Gerry (ankle) and defensive end Genard Avery (elbow) were placed on injured reserve Friday. Peters and receiver Jalen Reagor (thumb) are two candidates to take those roster spots.
