LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Rams' 2024 schedule was released along with the rest of the NFL slate Wednesday.
The Rams open up the season with a playoff rematch against the Detroit Lions on "Sunday Night Football," one of five prime-time games they will play. The Rams also host the Minnesota Vikings in Week 8 on "Thursday Night Football," the Miami Dolphins in Week 10 on "Monday Night Football" and the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 12 on SNF once more. After Aaron Donald retired this offseason, Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua remain the prominent faces of the team.
Los Angeles also plays the San Francisco 49ers in Week 15 on TNF. Los Angeles opens the season with three out of its first four games on the road before hosting three games in a row. They have a Week 6 bye.

Biggest takeaway
Although the Rams play six playoff teams (and the NFC Champion 49ers twice) in 2024, only two of those games are away. Los Angeles hosts the Eagles, Green Bay Packers, Dolphins, Buffalo Bills and 49ers during 2024 and plays road games against San Francisco and the Lions. The Rams will play the Packers for the fifth season in a row. The previous four matchups -- all Rams losses -- were played at Lambeau Field, including a playoff loss to end the 2020-21 season.
Revenge game
Rams at Lions. The Rams' season ended in Detroit with a 24-23 loss to the Lions in an emotional game that included quarterback Matthew Stafford's return to the place he spent the first 12 seasons of his NFL career. Los Angeles returns to Ford Field in Week 1 for Stafford vs. Jared Goff, Part III. Stafford and the Rams beat Detroit in 2021 at SoFi Stadium.
Bold prediction
The Rams beat the 49ers at home during the regular season for the first time since 2018. The Rams did finally snap their regular-season losing streak to San Francisco in the season finale, but both teams rested significant starters as they'd already clinched playoff spots. Prior to that win -- led by backup quarterback Carson Wentz -- the Rams had lost nine straight games to the 49ers in the regular season. That playoff game, of course, was the 2021 NFC Championship that the Rams won on route to Super Bowl LVI.
