Bucs Baker Mayfield finds Chris Godwin for 41-yard TD vs. Lions

DETROIT -- After trading a pair of field goals, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Detroit Lions finally produced a touchdown in their NFC divisional playoff rematch, with Bucs quarterback Baker Mayfield connecting with wide receiver Chris Godwin for a 41-yard strike to make it 13-6 at Ford Field on Sunday.

On the play, Godwin and Pro Bowl receiver Mike Evans were lined up on the left side, with Evans running toward the middle of the field and occupying most of the defense's attention, Godwin ran a wheel route against the Lions' Cover 3 defense. Left wide open, Godwin caught the pass in stride and strolled into the end zone.

It was Godwin's second touchdown in two games after scoring just three in 2023.

The Bucs lost to the Lions twice last season, including a 31-23 defeat in the NFC divisional playoff.
