Team Canada always enters as the favorites at the IIHF World Junior Championship, although this year it is not as much a clear favorite as usual.
The team is very strong at various positions, but this isn't the most stacked Canadian junior team we've ever seen.
That said, Mathew Barzal, Thomas Chabot, Blake Speers and Dylan Strome all have NHL experience. Canada also has one of its best goaltending duos in recent memory, and -- this is more trivia than anything else -- the team will bring along the past two players drafted No. 3 overall. Unlike past years, Canada has set its 22-man roster early, and this will be the club that competes in the tourney, barring injuries.
Let's go player by player to get you ready for the event -- or as a handy viewing guide to follow along once the action gets started Monday.
