Top Olympic events

Boxing (men's and women's -- 1:00 a.m. Wednesday): Medals are decided in women's flyweight, welterweight, men's lightweight and super heavyweight. After the Rio Olympics a total of 295 medal sets have been awarded in Olympic Boxing and it has been part of the Olympic program 28 times. For the first time since the London Games in 2012, the program has been updated, with the number of men's events reduced by two and the number of women's events increased by the same number.

USA's Oshae Jones will fight in a semifinal Wednesday against China's Hong Gu. If Jones wins that fight, she'll get a shot at a gold medal. Jones first female welterweight to represent USA Boxing in Olympic Games and her brother, Otha, boxed at the 2018 Youth Olympic Games.

Cycling-Track -- (men's and women's-- 2:30 a.m. Wednesday): The history of track dates back over 120 years with its first appearance coming at the Athens 1896 Games. The participation of professional cyclists has been allowed since the Atlanta 1996 Games and Keirin, which is a race that originated in Japan, was added as an event at the Sydney 2000 Games. Track dominates the cycling program at an Olympics with 12 out of a total of 22 events.

The gold medal Team USA won at the Worlds in 2020, which was there was their fourth world championship title in the Women's Team Pursuit in the last five years.
