Fantasy Rugby 2018: ESPN's new, improved and free Six Nations game is now live

Think you know the Six Nations inside out? Fancy claiming bragging rights over your mates while giving yourself a chance to win awesome prizes at absolutely no cost? Well, start your rugby year right with the return of the new and improved ESPN Fantasy Rugby.

Every week an Apple Watch is up for grabs while this year's overall winner will take home a MacBook Pro if you can pick the ultimate fantasy team.

Unlike Eddie Jones, Warren Gatland or Gregor Townsend, you have the luxury of selecting 15 of the best players from any of the six countries in this year's competition.

For those familiar with our fantasy game, we've made some slight tweaks to this year's version and for the newcomers we think 2018 will be the best year yet.

The changes include two points when your players start a match -- regardless of whether they remain on the pitch for the full 80 minutes -- while scoring for tackles is now uncapped, meaning a player will earn a bonus point every time he completes a multiple of five hits.

In order to get in on the fun, you must log in to your ESPN account. If you don't have one, you can create one for free by following the on-screen instructions.

You don't need to be a rugby nause to play but it's important you follow these simple steps when it comes to finalising your team.

You're going to need three front row forwards, two in the second row, three in the back row, a scrum-half, a fly-half, two centres and three outside backs. And remember, you can only have a maximum of four players from each nation, so choose wisely!

You'll need to pick a designated kicker too which is vital for getting those points for successful penalties and conversions.

Don't worry, if you're as bad as your mum settling on a grocery list then you've got plenty of time before the start of the tournament to tinker with your side.

You can make as many alterations as you like but once the whistle blows on the opening game between Wales and Scotland on Feb. 3 your squad is final for the first round. During the tournament you have three free transfers between each round if your player isn't living up to your high expectations, and you'll get an alert if a member of your team isn't selected for a match.

So what are you waiting for? Time to sign up and show your mates who the real star is.
