CERTAINTIES
NS: Lock in North Melbourne to continue their strong form under caretaker coach Rhyce Shaw. The Kangaroos have been playing great football, led by captain Jack Ziebell who looks revitalised in the midfield and they should comfortably beat St. Kilda in Hobart.
JM: How can it not be Richmond? Gold Coast has been in poor form in the second half of the season, coupled with Richmond getting a number of key players back and looking strong against St. Kilda last weekend, you can expect them to get up and Sydney Stack to continue starring up forward. Also who could forget what happened last time the Tigers went north to play the Suns?
MW: Without a doubt, Geelong are the best team in the comp, sitting two games clear on top of the ladder and will be coming up against a Western Bulldogs team that will struggle to back up after a tough game in the wet in Adelaide.
CJ: Start your weekend of tipping off with an easy one by picking the Pies. Nathan Buckley said Collingwood were "bloody embarrased" with the way they played against North Melbourne, registering their lowest score since 1995. After a week of honest review, expect them to bounce back on the big stage.
UPSETS
NS: Carlton are a good chance to knock off Melbourne who haven't lived up to expectations so far this season. The Blues too are in good form under David Teague, and with the potential of Max Gawn missing and the Demons' struggles on the MCG, don't be surprised if Carlton take home the four points.
JM: Expect Port Adelaide to bounce back after a poor showing against the Bulldogs last weekend and there's no better stage to do it on than Adelaide Oval against arch rivals, the Crows. Adelaide look to finally have found some consistency, but expect a rebound performance from the Power here.
MW: The Swans are playing above their record in recent weeks and even without Buddy Franklin, they should be able to get over Essendon, who have looked more at home at Marvel than the MCG this season. Tom Papley is in red hot form and could lead the Swans to the win.
CJ: This one might be tough for the Lions to pull off but this is a real test against a quality opposition in GWS. The Lions are the fastest finishing team in the competition, so if they can hang around with the Giants to the end, we could see them snatch this one and make the finals race even more interesting.
