Collingwood star Jordan de Goey has been charged with sexual assault.
De Goey was on Saturday charged with one count of indecent assault relating to an incident from 2015, the club confirmed.
The incident had previously been investigated by Victoria Police, and the AFL's Integrity Unit, in 2018, and no charges were laid as a result.
The midfielder will remain in the club's football program while the legal process is served.
De Goey had played in Collingwood's 15-point loss to Essendon at the MCG on Friday night.
