Sunday's Round 8 game between Fremantle and Brisbane, originally scheduled for Optus Stadium, will be relocated to the Gabba, as Western Australia looks to stay in control of its recent COVID-19 outbreak.
The game will remain at the 4:40pm Sunday timeslot, while the move means the Round 21 clash between the two sides will be shifted from Brisbane to Perth.
The Dockers will travel to Queensland on Wednesday and will be based on the Gold Coast before travelling to Melbourne for their Round 9 match against Essendon at Marvel Stadium, the following Sunday.
"The health and safety of everyone in the game and the wider community remains the priority as we continue to navigate the pandemic," said AFL Executive General Manager Football Operations Steve Hocking.
"Our competition will continue to remain adaptable as we navigate the 2021 Toyota AFL Premiership Season and the AFL thanks both clubs, players and the AFLPA, venues, governments, and supporters for their understanding."
Fremantle missed out on close to AU$1 million in lost revenue when their Round 6 home clash with North Melbourne became a lockout.
West Coast's home western derby against Fremantle last week -- in which 45,000 fans were initially allowed to attend -- also ended up becoming a lockout, costing the Eagles about AU$2 million in lost revenue.
