Bills running back LeSean McCoy? I mean, he’s my No. 2 pick if he's on the field, but he’s not even close to Brady, who is the best player on the best team and the defending league MVP. This will be a challenging season for Brady, who lost Danny Amendola in free agency and won’t have Julian Edelman (suspended) for the first four games. He’s left with stud tight end Rob Gronkowski and a pedestrian cast of wide receivers, but Brady has the uncanny ability to raise the level of everyone around him. Can he do it at 41? Yes, I think so. Don’t doubt the GOAT.

Mike Reiss, ESPN New England Patriots reporter: Brady. For the past decade, they’ve had this trophy engraved before the season began, and that should continue in 2018: Tom Brady. The reigning NFL MVP looked sharp at the Patriots' three-day June mandatory minicamp, although one thing bears watching: How will his decision to skip voluntary workouts this year -- a change in routine -- affect his ability to develop a rapport with some of the team’s new pass-catchers, especially if Edelman's four-game suspension is upheld.

Mike Rodak: ESPN Buffalo Bills reporter: Brady. The only other player in the conversation is McCoy, who is facing a legal issue that might affect his availability and might need to again carry Buffalo’s offense on his shoulders with a jumbled quarterback outlook, a depleted offensive line and questions at wide receiver. But until proved otherwise, Brady is the king of the division and it is difficult to make an argument for anyone else as MVP. The Patriots have the talent to win games with Brian Hoyer at quarterback if Brady gets hurt, but it is almost impossible to oversell Brady’s importance to his team.
