To celebrate the 45th season of "Monday Night Football," a panel of ESPN.com contributors has selected the 45 most memorable moments in MNF history. Follow along as we reveal one per day and count down to this season's MNF debut.

No. 20: Bears 24, Cardinals 23 | Oct. 16, 2006

They were fueled by special teams and defense, and with their second-half comeback against the Arizona Cardinals, the 2006 Chicago Bears provided the fuel for Arizona coach Dennis Green's famous "They are who we thought they were!" postgame tirade.

The Bears entered the game with a 5-0 record and faced a struggling Cardinals team that was 1-4, but there was reason for optimism in Arizona. Rookie first-round pick Matt Leinart was making his second career start and came out firing against the vaunted Chicago defense, throwing two touchdowns while Arizona took a 23-3 lead late into the third quarter.

Cue the comeback. A Mike Brown fumble return for a touchdown in the final seconds of the third quarter and another scoop and score by Charles Tillman brought the Bears within six.

Then, with less than three minutes left, Chicago rookie Devin Hester scored on an 83-yard punt return to complete the comeback.

Leinart would get Arizona in range for a potential game-winning field goal attempt, but Neil Rackers missed from 40 yards with less than a minute to go. Despite six turnovers by Bears QB Rex Grossman and no offensive touchdowns, Chicago miraculously improved to 6-0.
