No. 7 Michigan State 27, No. 12 Michigan 23

In one of the most stunning endings in college football history, Michigan punter Blake O'Neill bobbled a low snap with 10 seconds remaining, and Michigan State's Jalen Watts-Jackson caught it and raced 38 yards, scoring with no time remaining. Michigan State has now won seven of the past eight against Michigan, and held on to the Paul Bunyan Trophy with the improbable win.

No. 10 Alabama, No. 6 LSU in shape as SEC heavyweights

Alabama and LSU both beat undefeated contenders, tuning up for what could be a title fight Nov. 7. The Tide picked off No. 9 Texas A&M 41-23 and the Tigers pulled off a gutsy fake field goal in a 35-28 victory over No. 8 Florida.

No. 15 Stanford 56, No. 18 UCLA 35

Francis Owusu made a highlight-reel catch and Christian McCaffrey had a school-record 243 yards rushing and four touchdowns Thursday night as the Cardinal beat the Bruins for the eighth straight time.

Memphis, Iowa looking for attention

Memphis (6-0) beat No. 13 Ole Miss 37-24 and has won 13 straight games. No. 17 Iowa (7-0, 3-0 Big Ten) pounded No. 20 Northwestern 40-10 and does not have a ranked opponent left on its regular-season schedule.
