MURRIETA, Calif. -- For Su'a Cravens, a typical postgame celebration is more like a tour consisting of various stops. First, a cheer with the student band behind the east end zone, followed by a salute to fans sitting in the stands. Then a slew of photo requests before Cravens gets a few hugs from mom.
Friends and classmates crowd around, all wanting wanting to congratulate the star from Vista Murrieta High School. On Friday night, two fellow USC commits were among that horde.
Cravens and Vista Murrieta had just earned an important 34-0 victory against Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.), eliminating USC cornerback commit Chris Hawkins in the CIF Southern Section Inland Division semifinals. Hawkins walked over, still reeling from the loss, accompanied by Trojans cornerback commit Jalen Ramsey (Brentwood, Tenn./Brentwood Academy), who was in town to attend USC's monumental matchup against Notre Dame at the Coliseum.
