Ben Solak's pick
Jets -2 at Steelers
While the Jets still lost to the Buffalo Bills on Monday night, their offense did show signs of improvement in the first game under new play caller Todd Downing and new head coach Jeff Ulbrich. Now, Davante Adams comes to town, and I think the success will continue even against a stingy Steelers pass rush. Expect Rodgers to get rid of the ball very quickly, with short routes and running back targets comprising the bulk of his targets to help neutralize that rush. The Jets are desperate for a win and the Steelers are making a QB switch with Russell Wilson. Gotta lean Jets here.

Unders are 32-10 on Sunday Night Football since 2022, including 6-0 this season. All prime-time unders are 81-52-1 in that span.
The Jets have been underdogs in 11 straight meetings against the Steelers including playoffs. The last time the Jets were favored over the Steelers was in 2003 (won 6-0 as 3-point favorites). The Jets have played 12 games at Pittsburgh including playoffs and only been favored once (1992: lost 27-10 as 1.5-point favorites).
If the Jets close as favorites, it would be the first time since 2020 that a team multiple games below .500 has been a road favorite over a team multiple games above .500 (Chargers -6.5 at Chiefs in Week 17). Excluding the final week of the season, the only time in the last decade a team multiple games below .500 has been a road favorite over a team multiple games above .500 was in 2016 (Chargers -2.5 at Texans, Chargers won 21-13).
If the Jets close as underdogs, the Jets are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games as underdogs. Since 2016, the Jets are 18-38-1 ATS as road underdogs and 23-44-1 ATS in all road games.
The Steelers are 7-2 ATS in their last nine prime-time games (0-2 ATS in last two). The Jets are 4-11 ATS in their last 15 prime-time games.
Unders are 13-2 in the last 15 regular-season meetings.
The Jets are 0-3 ATS in their last three games. Four of the last five Jets games have gone under the total.
