Sebastian Vettel's younger brother enters Audi TT Cup

Fabian Vettel, the younger brother of four-time Formula One world champion Sebastian, will begin his motorsport career racing in the 2017 Audi TT Cup.

The 18-year-old has competed in karting championships in Germany, including the ROK Cup with Ralf Schumacher's KSM team. This season will mark Vettel's maiden year in cars, having only previously tested a Volkswagen Golf in the Polish series in 2014.

15 drivers from a total of ten counties have been confirmed to race in the championship so far, with the majority of the field comprising rookie drivers who have been hand-selected by Audi.

Series boss Philipp Mondelaers said: "We are delighted with the international diversity of this year's cohort. Our junior drivers have clearly stepped up throughout the introductory course."

The Audi TT Cup season-opener takes place on May 5-7 at Hockenheim and will act as a support to the DTM championship in 2017.
