Baseball is back! The 2022 Major League Baseball season begins on Thursday, April 7, one week later than expected but still ready to play out its 162-games-per-team schedule in its entirety. Thursday sees 18 teams scheduled to play, with the remaining 12 enjoying their Opening Days on Friday, April 8. For ESPN fantasy baseball, "Week 1" of this season is a lengthier, 11-day scoring period, beginning with those April 7 games and extending through the games scheduled for Sunday, April 17. Leagues with weekly lineup deadlines will lock lineups for the entirety of the scoring period at the start of each team's first scheduled game, and will not allow changes to take effect again until Monday, April 18. In addition, head-to-head matchups will extend for the entire 11-day period. If you play in a standard league with daily lineups, lineups will still lock at the start times of players' respective games for each individual day.
