On only his sixth senior start as a Celtic player, teenage right-back Anthony Ralston was handed the unenviable task of man-marking the most expensive footballer in the world in a Champions League opener.
While the Bhoys would go on to lose 5-0, Ralston made a decent fist of making things difficult for Neymar.
Indeed, the animosity between the pair really began to brew when Ralston was seen laughing in Neymar's face after the latter received a yellow card for simulation in the first half.

The two players clashed all night, with tackles flying in and muffled words exchanged behind hands throughout the match.
As such, it probably shouldn't come as much of a surprise that Neymar refused to bury the hatchet and shake Ralston's hand at the final whistle, also refusing the 18-year-old's request to swap shirts.

Not that Ralston was remotely perturbed by the snub, even in the aftermath of a 5-0 crushing in which Neymar scored the opener.
"It wasn't a big deal. I won't dwell on that too much," the young defender said after the match.
"If that is the case, and that is the way he wants to be, then fine. I don't care. Like I said, everybody is different, so I won't lose any sleep over it."
We imagine the same probably goes for Neymar.
