Al Ahli have announced that they have agreed a fee to sign Shakhtar Donetsk striker Luiz Adriano, who scored nine goals in last season's Champions League.
The Dubai-based club announced the news on their official website while Al Ahli chairman Abdullah Al Naboodah added on his personal Twitter account: "The details of the financial contract and the medical report will follow in the coming days."

Shakhtar CEO Sergei Palkin told football24.ua that, while no deal had been done, it was true that negotiations had taken place. He refused to discuss the transfer fee.
The 28-year-old Brazil international, who joined Shakhtar from Internacional in 2007, has won six Ukrainian Premier League titles, four Ukrainian Cups and the 2009 UEFA Cup during his time with the club.
He broke a host of Champions League records in October's 7-0 win away to BATE Borisov, becoming the first player to score four goals in the first half of a game as well as scoring the fastest hat trick in the competition.
That game also saw him become the second player, after Lionel Messi, to score five goals in a single Champions League game, as well as becoming Shakhtar's all-time top scorer.
Al Ahli, whose squad includes Brazil international Everton Ribeiro and former Liverpool winger Oussama Assaidi, had been in the market for a high-quality striker after finishing seventh in the 2014-15 UAE Pro-League.
