Real Betis have completed the signing of Algeria midfielder Ryad Boudebouz from Montpellier.
Betis have paid a reported €7 million -- plus potential bonuses -- for the 27-year-old, who scored 11 goals and added nine assists in Ligue 1 last season.
Boudebouz has signed a four-year contract with Betis.
"It is a great step for me to arrive at such an iconic club," Boudebouz said on the Betis website.
"Because of my playing style, I have wanted to play in Spain since I was little. For me, it's a huge step to progress with this club."

He added: "It's a club with a huge fandom, you always want to watch Betis games. Betis has won important trophies, one league and two cups.
"I'm in a moment in my career in which I want to evolve, I'm eager. I want to achieve things and I think I can play at a higher level here. I'm sure I can make it here at Betis. I can reach a much higher level."
