Hazard, the younger brother of Blues star Eden, has enjoyed an impressive campaign on loan at Zulte-Waregem and claimed the award for the best player in Belgium in January.

He said in March that he did not plan to return to his homeland next season and could seek to prove himself at Chelsea, whom he joined from Lens in 2012, and Jose Mourinho was present to check on the 21-year-old's progress in a 2-1 defeat to Anderlecht in the Pro League playoffs.

While there are suggestions he will join the Blues' preseason tour, Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws reports that Mourinho plans to loan out or even sell the player and that there is interest from an array of clubs including Liverpool and Schalke. England's Daily Express, meanwhile, claims Everton are interested.

"We will take our time to assess all the offers and see which feels best for Thorgan," the player's father, Thierry, told HLN.

Hazard was not at his best during the defeat to Anderlecht on Thursday, but he insisted the presence of Mourinho in the stands had no bearing on his performance.

"He had nothing to do with it," the midfielder said in HLN. "I wanted to win, for the group and the fans."
