Carpi have completed the signing of World Cup winner Cristian Zaccardo from AC Milan.
Central defender Zaccardo, 33, has signed a two-year deal with the newly promoted Serie A side.
A statement on Carpi's official website read: "Carpi announces the outright signing of defender Cristian Zaccardo from AC Milan. The player has signed a contract which will expire on June 30, 2017.''
Zaccardo, capped 17 times by Italy between 2004 and 2007, was part of the squad which won the World Cup in 2006.
Carpi sit bottom of the table after losing their first two games of the season, in which they have conceded seven goals.
Carpi have also secured the services of former West Ham and Roma striker Marco Borriello.
On Monday night the 33-year-old, who was a free agent after leaving Genoa in June, tweeted: "A new adventure begins with @carpi1909."
