Swansea, Leicester asked about Williams-Mahrez clash by FA

Swansea and Leicester have been asked by the Football Association for their observations following a clash between Ashley Williams and Riyad Mahrez.

The pair clashed outside the Swansea dressing room and had to be separated after Leicester's 3-0 win at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday, with the Leicester Mercury stating Williams tried to follow Mahrez onto the Foxes' bus.

Referee Michael Oliver did not include anything regarding the incident in his report of the game, Sky Sports reported, meaning the FA could take retrospective action.

Mahrez and Williams clashed several times on the Liberty Stadium pitch, with their argument eventually carrying on into the tunnel area after the full-time whistle.

Neither player was booked by Oliver during a game which left Leicester two points clear at the top of the Premier League table.

Press Association reported that Swansea will play down the feud in the observations they give to the FA, with both clubs told to submit their accounts by the end of the week.
