New Derby County attacker Abdoul Camara has said the time was right for him to leave Ligue 1 high flyers Angers.
Camara, 25, joined the Rams this week in a deal that L'Equipe reported was worth €2 million up front.

The Guinea international helped newly-promoted Angers -- who have the second lowest budget in Ligue 1 -- to third place in the table at the season's halfway point.
"Since I was little I've watched the Premier League and I've always dreamed of playing in England," he told L'Equipe.
"It was the right moment to join a Championship team that hopes to get promoted. I feel ready in my legs and in my head.
"You know just how high the standard is in England, and to help a club to get promoted is great. It's a club that has a huge amount of ambition at the moment.
"And for those who could think that I only left for money, I'd respond that I wouldn't have gone to Derby if that was the case."
Camara had been in negotiations with Angers over a new contract, but has instead become the second key player to leave over the winter after goalkeeper Ludovic Butelle joined Club Brugge.
"The finances of Angers are limited, which is normal and which I understand completely," Camara said.
"I'm really happy for Angers, who are receiving a nice sum from this transfer. For my part, it allows me to continue to grow."
