Sunderland's Victor Anichebe mocked for gaffe on Twitter

Obviously desperate to preserve at least a sliver of morale in the aftermath of Saturday's dreary defeat against West Ham, bottom side Sunderland decided it'd be a good idea to have players send some optimistic tweets after the game.

Indeed, shortly after the final whistle somebody in the Black Cats' PR department sent a message to unused sub Victor Anichebe asking him to publish a standard banal postmatch tweet to bemoan the result but congratulate the lads on their hard work -- you know the type.

Sadly, either Anichebe or the person in charge of running his account copy and pasted the whole internal memo into the Tweet, duly publishing the entire thing verbatim.

Oops! The Tweet was quickly deleted but not before thousands of users had the chance to chuckle heartily at Anichebe's slap-dash approach.

Given that he's only played 13 minutes of football so far this season, you'd think he'd be able to spend a little longer getting his social media affairs in order.
