Major League Soccer's disciplinary committee has suspended and fined D.C. United forward Chris Rolfe and Vancouver Whitecaps striker Kekuta Manneh for serious foul play over the weekend.
MLS also fined LA Galaxy striker Giovani Dos Santos and defender Jelle Van Damme an undisclosed amount for violating the league's mass confrontation policy.
Rolfe, who will serve his ban in Sunday's game against New York City FC, was deemed to have endangered the safety of Chicago Fire midfielder Nick La Brocca in the 46th minute of the teams' 1-1 draw over the weekend.
Manneh was displined on similar grounds for his foul on NYCFC's Federico Bravo in the 68th minute of the Whitecaps' 3-2 defeat on Saturday. He will miss Saturday's match against the Portland Timbers.
Dos Santos and Van Damme have been sanctioned for their part in escalating a clash between LA and Sporting Kansas City players in the 70th minute of Sunday's 1-1 draw.
