Sevilla left-back Benoit Tremoulinas has confirmed that Paris Saint-Germain have expressed an interest in signing him this summer.
Tremoulinas, 30, missed his side's 3-1 win over Liverpool in the Europa League final on Wednesday after picking up a knee injury in the second leg of their semifinal victory against Shakhtar Donetsk.
The former Bordeaux and Dynamo Kiev defender had to undergo surgery on the meniscus problem, which ended any chance he may have had of representing France at Euro 2016.
The setback did not put an end to reports that PSG wanted to buy Tremoulinas in the event that Brazilian full-back Maxwell, who is out of contract next month, decides to leave the Ligue 1 champions.
Speaking pitchside in Basel directly before the Liverpool game, Tremoulinas said that there was at least some truth to the rumour.
"I know that the club made contact with my agent," Tremoulinas told beIN Sports. "But nothing more.
"For the moment, I'm 100 percent concentrated on Sevilla. "It's not the time to talk about all of that... we'll see in a while."
Tremoulinas is under contract with Sevilla until the summer of 2017. His injury will keep him out of action for six to eight weeks.
