Northern Ireland defender Aaron Hughes cannot wait to test himself against world champions Germany following his side's win over Ukraine on Thursday.
Northern Ireland recovered from their opening defeat to Poland with a 2-0 success against Ukraine in Lyon.
"We'll take a day or two to enjoy this but we've got to get our heads back into it because ultimately that's what the tournament is," Hughes told reporters.
"You enjoy the little moments but then you go again."
Hughes said he would have been delighted if he had been told before the competition that Northern Ireland would still be in with a chance of qualifying ahead of their last match in Group C.
"Of course," he said.
"I think anyone would have -- not just us -- because this is different to a qualifying campaign.
"This is the top. This is the best 24 teams in Europe and it's great to be amongst that and great to be competing in that."
Hughes, 36, was recalled to the side on Thursday and made his 101st appearance for Northern Ireland, getting through his first full 90 minutes since January.
The former Newcastle and Fulham player has been a free agent since leaving Melbourne City at the end of April and he's now relishing the prospect of trying to earn a place in the last 16 by getting a result against Germany.
Meanwhile, Northern Ireland captain Steven Davis said his side had no reason to fear the German team -- who gave the Green and White Army a chance after drawing 0-0 against Poland on Thursday -- that they will face at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday.
"Listen, it's a great game for us to look forward to," the Southampton midfielder told ESPN FC.
"What's there not to look forward to?
"We're going to be playing in Paris against the world champions in with an opportunity of progressing from the group after the result today.
"We know we're going to have to be at our best and hope that they're not, probably.
"But football's a funny game and you never know."
