Wolfsburg forward Andre Schurrle has said he does not want to discuss reports linking him with Borussia Dortmund.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan, 27, is widely expected to become the third key player -- after Bayern Munich-bound Mats Hummels and future Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan -- to leave Dortmund this summer.
Manchester United are in talks with Dortmund about signing winger Mkhitaryan, club sources have told ESPN FC, and Schurrle has been tipped to replace him as the club seek a replacement.
At the weekend, Bayer Leverkusen said they rejected an offer for Karim Bellarabi, while Bayern Munich's Mario Gotze and Germany international Schurrle have also been linked.
Schurrle, 25, started his career at Mainz where he came through the ranks under current BVB boss Thomas Tuchel.
And while Wolfsburg, who signed Schurrle from Chelsea for around €32 million in January 2015, have yet to receive an offer and have said they are not interested in selling one of their best players of last season, the club's sporting director Klaus Allofs admitted in DerWesten that the Dortmund links make sense.
"Especially this connection [between Tuchel and Schurrle] makes them rigorous," Allofs said of the rumours, adding that they have yet to receive a bid and in any case are not interested in selling Schurrle "for any price."
The Germany international, meanwhile, told Bild that he is currently not interested in discussing the rumours, with the national team still competing at Euro 2016.
He said: "I don't want to say anything about it. Otherwise it'll become a great issue again."
Schurrle did admit he has been in touch with his former coach, adding: "That Thomas Tuchel spoke with me on the phone is nothing I want to comment any further. We are at the Euro now, and that's what I want to focus on."
