Wolfsburg's Andre Schurrle open to Borussia Dortmund move - Klaus Allofs

Wolfsburg have confirmed that Andre Schurrle is open to a move to Borussia Dortmund this summer but said a deal is a long way from completion.

Schurrle, 25, joined Wolfsburg from Chelsea for €32 million in February 2015, but the Germany international has been linked with an exit this summer after the club's disappointing 2015-16 campaign.

Wolfsburg sporting executive Klaus Allofs had said this week that Dortmund, led by Schurrle's former Mainz coach Thomas Tuchel, are interested in the player but told media that his club did not want to sell.

However, Allofs has has now told Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung: "Andre told us that he could imagine a move to Dortmund."

The forward, who made three appearances as a substitute at Euro 2016, had recently said he did not want to discuss a transfer while he was on international duty.

However, even with Germany's exit on Thursday, Allofs said he did not expect there to be an agreement in the near future.

"This will keep us busy in the next couple of weeks, maybe even until late August," Allofs said.

According to local Dortmund paper Ruhr Nachrichten, Wolfsburg are holding out for a transfer fee in the region of €30m.
