Marcos Llorente will not return to Real Madrid until next summer, when his season-long loan with Alaves expires.
Reports in Spain claimed Real would attempt to bring the 21-year-old midfielder back to the club in the winter transfer market to have a replacement for Casemiro, who got hurt in a 2-0 win at Espanyol on Sept. 18.
The Brazil international is expected to be sidelined for an extended period after tests confirmed he had fractured a bone in his left leg.
Asked about a possible return to the Bernabeu stadium in January, Llorente told Marca: "My aim is to return in a year's time.
"Right now my focus in on Alaves. There is no clause that allows me to return in the winter transfer market and that has been said by [Alaves sporting director] Sergio Fernandez."
Since losing Casemiro to injury, Real have drawn their last three games, the first time that has happened to Los Merengues since April 2016.
Real coach Zinedine Zidane said ahead of his team's 2-2 draw at Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday that Llorente would have been the ideal candidate to replace Casemiro.
"Casemiro is an important player and we hope he will recover soon," Zidane told the club website. "We have good players to overcome this although not in his position.
"We did have Marcos Llorente in preseason, and he is a player that could have replaced Casemiro.
"But we took the decision that it would be good of him to play 30 or 40 games this season."
Llorente started in just one game for Real last season and left last month in search of more playing time.
"We [Real and Llorente] agreed that the best thing was to leave and earn more playing time," Llorente said.
"It was difficult to leave Madrid but now, I'm very happy in Vitoria. I'm learning a lot."
Llorente, who has started in five La Liga games for an Alaves side that has clinched nine points in its opening six league games, believes Real will overcome Casemiro's absence.
"You can notice Casemiro's absence," he said. "But they played well in Dortmund and I think they will win the Champions League."
