Chasing an unprecedented seventh league title in a row, Bayern Munich failed to win for the first time this season against Augsburg, with Felix Gotze (brother of Mario) equalising late on to cancel out Arjen Robben's 48th minute opener as the Oktoberfest Bavarian derby finished in a 1-1 stalemate.
Positives
Bayern remain top of the table despite the draw and haven't tasted defeat during the world's biggest celebration in over eight years, while Renato Sanches is returning to the form that attracted Bayern attention a couple of years ago. Oh, and a former Bayern player Felix grabbed the precious equaliser.
Negatives
Bayern were punished for fluffing a host of chances in the first half with the woeful Sandro Wagner in particular regularly botching his lines, while the opening 20 minutes were played out in eerie silence with disgruntled fans protesting.

6 -- With Robert Lewandowski languishing on the bench, Niko Kovac failed to win for the first time in charge as he fell one short of Carlo Ancelotti's eight wins in 2016. One can only hope that the Croatian's reign does not end the same way as his predecessor's did last year.

GK Manuel Neuer, 5 -- Bayern's captain made routine saves in each half but crucially flapped at a late corner and the younger Gotze filled his boots to end the champions' winning run.
DF Leon Goretzka, 5 -- Goretzka was thrown into the unaccustomed role of left-back and after picking up a yellow card for a foul on Andre Hahn on 13 minutes, Kovac removed the free transfer signing from the fray at half-time as a precaution.
DF Mats Hummels, 7 -- Coasted through the game, hardly needing to break into a sweat until Augsburg's against-the-odds equaliser.
DF Niklas Sule, 7 -- Sule also enjoyed a leisurely evening until Gotze's goal turned the game on its head late on.
DF Joshua Kimmich, 7 -- Exciting going forward and hardly tested in defence.
MF Javi Martinez, 6 -- Solid and unspectacular in a game that was as stale as a two-day old beer.
MF Renato Sanches, 8 -- A genuine driving force in the opening period. Came close to breaking the deadlock after a succession of surging forward runs only to be denied by inspired goalkeeper Andreas Luthe at regular junctures. Sanches picked up a yellow card for a rash tackle on the half-hour and didn't have the same influence in the second half. Still, Sanches has a frothy spring in his step going into the Autumn as he looks to revive his once-flagging career.
MF Thomas Muller, 5 -- Largely anonymous throughout.
MF Serge Gnabry, 7 -- The former Arsenal winger brought out the best in Luthe on the stroke of half-time with a fierce, left-footed drive. He turned on the turbo to provide Robben's goal before being given a breather for Ribery on the hour.
MF Arjen Robben, 7 -- After a quiet first half, Robben fired Bayern ahead shortly after the break with a trademark left-footer into the roof of the net for his third of the season and his 98th Bundesliga goal in total, maintaining his record of scoring in every home game this season. It was to no avail, though, as Bayern were punished for their profligacy.
FW Sandro Wagner, 4 -- Given a chance to impress up front instead of Lewandowski, Wagner failed to hit the high notes during a stuttering overture that included a couple of tame headers and a weak shot straight at Luthe when clean through just before the interval. Increasingly ineffective, Wagner was removed from the fray with a quarter of an hour to play for Thiago. In hindsight, it should have been Lewandowski who came on instead.
Substitutes
DF David Alaba, 6 -- Replaced Goretzka at left-back at half-time but could provide little of the attacking gusto he showed last weekend.
MF Franck Ribery, 6 -- The 35-year-old veteran replaced Gnabry on the hour and had a goal chalked off for a marginal offside that would have killed the game off.
MF Thiago, NR -- The silky Spaniard replaced the below-par Wagner and picked up a deserved yellow card within a couple of minutes of his introduction. He nodded over in the final moments as Bayern tried in vain to grab a winner.
