Borussia Dortmund midfielder Gonzalo Castro has signed a new contract that keeps him at the club until 2020.
Castro, 29, joined BVB from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015 when the club triggered an €11 million release clause to sign him on a four-year deal.
He has made 71 appearances, contributing 10 goals, and sporting director Michael Zorc told the club's official website: "Both on a sporting and personal level, Gonzo has become a very important member of the squad in a short space of time."

Castro, who won five caps for Germany in the 2000s, added: "I'm really happy about the trust the club has placed in me.
"I can honestly say that it makes me proud to pull on the black and yellow jersey and play football in front of such amazing fans."
