Hull City have announced that they have had their appeal against the red card shown to Tom Huddlestone during Saturday's 4-0 defeat to Everton rejected by the Football Association.
Huddlestone, 30, was sent off by referee Paul Tierney after 73 minutes in the Premier League clash at Goodison Park for a foul on Idrissa Gueye. The score at the time of the midfielder's dismissal was 1-0 to Everton, with the home side going on to score three more goals late on.
Hull launched an appeal against the sending off on Tuesday, but revealed later in the day that they had failed to get the red card overturned.

A Hull statement read: "The FA have rejected the Tigers' appeal against Tom Huddlestone's red card at Everton on Saturday.
"The midfielder was given his marching orders by referee Paul Tierney in the 73rd minute of the Premier League fixture at Goodison Park following a challenge on Toffees midfielder Idrissa Gueye.
"Huddlestone's three-match suspension will remain in place, meaning he will miss the Tigers' upcoming games against West Ham United, Middlesbrough and Manchester City."
