Kyle Walker-Peters extends Tottenham contract through to 2020

Kyle Walker-Peters has signed a new contract with Tottenham until 2020.

It is the defender's third new deal in 18 months after he agreed a contract until 2019 in February, and follows a impressive summer for the 20-year-old.

In June, Walker-Peters was part of the England under-20 World Cup-winning squad in South Korea -- the first England team at any level to win a World Cup since 1966 -- before he featured in all three matches of Tottenham's preseason tour of the United States.

The sale of Kyle Walker to Manchester City in June left Walker-Peters as Tottenham's second-choice right-back and an injury to Kieran Trippier opened the door for him to make his Premier League debut in Spurs' opener against Newcastle at St James' Park on Aug. 13, where he earned the man-of-the-match award.

"I'm buzzing to sign a new contract with Spurs and can't wait to see what the future holds," Walker-Peters said on Tottenham's Twitter account.

Tottenham continue to be linked with other right-backs, including Paris Saint-Germain's Serge Aurier, while new centre-back Davinson Sanchez can cover on the right side of defence.
