Which are the potential African transfer angles to watch as we enter the final week of the window?

Wilfried Bony is yet to feature for Manchester City this season, and still appears destined for the exit door either on a permanent deal or another loan.

According to the Daily Mail, Swansea City are keen on the Ivorian striker and are planning to offer £13 million to secure the hitman's return to the Liberty Stadium.

Despite beating Crystal Palace 2-0 this weekend with goals from Tammy Abraham and Jordan Ayew, the Swans surely still need more firepower before the window closes following the exit of Gylfi Sigurdsson.

The report also states that Swansea are also monitoring Bournemouth's Congolese forward Benik Afobe.

Birmingham City have missed out on both Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu and Ogenyi Onazi this summer, but Harry Redknapp still appears keen to recruit another high-profile African talent for the heart of his midfield.

The player he's currently understood to be after is Torino's Afriyie Acquah according to Sky Sports, with the Ghana international having expressed an interest in joining the Midlanders.

However, Torino are understood to be unwilling to lose the midfield all-rounder, and it remains to be seen whether it will be third time lucky for the Blues.

Islam Slimani came on as a late substitute in Leicester City's 2-0 defeat by Manchester United at the weekend, but it appears unlikely that the Algeria international will be at the King Power Stadium for too much longer.

He arrived at great expense from Sporting Lisbon last summer, but has struggled to impose himself in the East Midlands, and the arrival of Kelechi Iheanacho places another obstacle in his path.

According to the Leicester Mercury, Slimani has no shortage of admirers.

AS Monaco are keen on the striker, while Watford and Newcastle United are also interested in the forward, as per the local source.

Serge Aurier: Tottenham Hotspur are threatening a late transfer flurry in the window, with Davinson Sanchez and Paulo Gazzaniga having arrived at White Hart Lane.

Expect several departures, but in terms of arrivals, much focus will be on Aurier, who appears primed to move from Paris Saint-Germain on a £23 million deal according to The Guardian.

However, despite terms being agreed between both club and player, Spurs face an anxious wait to see whether the Home Office will give the Ivory Coast international clearance to enter the United Kingdom following his appeal against a prison sentence for allegedly assaulting a police officer outside a Paris nightclub.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang: With two goals in his first two Bundesliga fixtures, Auba has hit the ground running this season and has served a reminder to all of his potential suitors of exactly what he offers in the final third.

Latterly, Manchester City have been linked to his signature, according to Le 10 Sport [as per the Express].

Should Pep Guardiola miss out on Alexis Sanchez, he's reportedly planning to turn his attentions to Auba, who City believe could be available for a £74 million fee.

Could the Gabon superstar yet be a decisive protagonist in the Premier League title race?
