FC Cincinnati signs veteran Polish goalkeeper Przemyslaw Tyton

FC Cincinnati announced the signing of Polish goalkeeper Przemyslaw Tyton via a free transfer Thursday.

Tyton, 31, will join the team upon receipt of his P-1 visa and international transfer certificate.

Tyton makes the move to MLS after playing 13 professional seasons in the first tiers of Spain, Germany, the Netherlands and Poland. He will occupy an international roster spot on newcomer team Cincinnati's 2019 roster.

"I really like the project of this FC Cincinnati team, I believe in this project and I want to be part of it," Tyton said in a team release. "I think it's the right moment to start something from the beginning, that's why I decided to come to Cincinnati. We all together will start something new."

Tyton has made over 200 career appearances over the course of his professional career.

"We're pleased to add an internationally accomplished goalkeeper in Przemyslaw ahead of our first season in MLS," Cincinnati head coach Alan Koch stated. "He's someone who has thrived when playing in high pressure situations for both club and country and we believe he'll be a great fit here in Cincinnati."

Tyton joins Spencer Richey, acquired from the Vancouver Whitecaps on Sunday, as goalkeepers on Cincinnati's roster.
