Eric Dier will miss England's Euro 2020 qualifier at Montenegro on Monday after picking up an injury in Friday's win over the Czech Republic.
The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder was substituted early in the match following a hard challenge by Czech midfielder Tomas Soucek.
Dier tried to continue but was brought off after 26 minutes and replaced by Ross Barkley.
"I think he will go back to his club. Hopefully not too serious, bit of a muscular injury but he won't be right for our second game," England manager Gareth Southgate said.
Spurs will face off Premier League leaders Liverpool next weekend.
"If Eric is the only injury I don't think we'll call anyone else in. If we have any other concerns we'll have to review that on Saturday," Southgate said.
