Club football action returned after the international break with Arsenal winning the North London Derby while Erling Haaland did Erling Haaland things for Manchester City in the Premier League.

Over at La Liga, Kylian Mbappe and Lamine Yamal were among the goals as Real Madrid and Barcelona continued their strong starts to the new season while Harry Kane ratcheted up his goal tally in Bundesliga.

This weekend also saw the return of Lionel Messi after an injury layoff, and of course he scored more than one goal.
